For those of you interested in feeding mice, you might try
www.miceonice.com.
They raise mice on grain (not dye-filled dog foods that can cause illness
in snakes, at least), and humanely kill them with CO2 gas.  The mice are
then packed in plastic (cryovac, like cheese) and shipped to you on dry
ice.  You can keep the frozen mice in your freezer for a long long time.
The only drawback is that you have to buy a bunch of mice (like 12 dozen)
at a time due to the cost of shipping the mice on dry ice.
 
If anyone is in the KC area and would like to split some mice, let me
know!  The thought of keeping 12 dozen mice in my freezer for who knows
how long kind of icks me out....
