I can't answer the medical questions.

>I am giving my ferrets a product called "Nutri-Cal" (Evsco Pharm. NJ,
>USA) as dietary supplement... but I am wondering if it is okay to keep
>using this.

We use nutri-cal as a supplement for sick ferrets and nursing jills. But
think of it as candy for ferrets. Give only small amounts as you would give
candy to children.

>I am going to buy about 1~200 lb of "Totally Ferret Food" from the
>States. But before actual order, could anyone recommend a specific
>brand of ferret food to me?

Totally Ferret is a brand name from Performance foods. Other good choices
would be Mazuri Ferret food from Purina Mills or The ferret foods from
Marshall Farms or 8in1 companies.

>Please pardon my not so good English.

Your English is as good as many from the United States.

>voted on the bill yet?

I think Ellen Byrne might have been there as she is on the list and big in
the Maryland ferret groups involved. If I hear anything from her or Diane
Rogers that doesn't get posted I'll post.

>Subject: Mink as pet?
Lars, I wouldn't recommend Mink as pets. Wild animals do not make good pets
and ranch mink are bred for coat color and their temperament is worse than
the wild ones. I've visited a mink ranch and know folks how tried to make
pets out of ranch mink. I only know one person who really thinks that is a
good idea - she got her 'pets' which she breeds and sells from the mink
ranch I visited.

Now that we have a ferret person kind oif inside Iams maybe we can get Iams
to recognize that they make among the best foods FOR ferrets. We use some
30-40 pounds of Iams a week but they won't put ferret breeders into their
breeders program's for cats. Other manufacturers will but we are not as
happy with their products.
