Hi, they are totally correct concerning herbs, they are drugs and one
should be under supervised advice and counsel. I DON"T suggest that
anyone who does not have any knowledge of herbs and supplements, take
things into their own hands . I have been dealing with herbs for years.
Also, getting advice from experts with herbs and vets, which vets say
that a ferret should get 1/8 or less, the amount of a human dose. If you
do not have the right measuring tools to get an exact amount, don't.
Also, like John & Shannon mentioned, every animal is different. Where
the herbs & supplements help my Farina, they made my Cassy have an upset
stomach. That was also do to the fact that I didn't know at the time
exactly what was wrong, what it was doing to him and to what organs.
Though I was giving things for cancer as I was Farina, his prostate and
spleen was getting large because of the adrenal cancer. so he was not
able to void correctly and healthily, so this made the herbs sit in him to
long and upset his stomach. Now that I know I need to help not only the
tumors and the adrenal glands, but also his prostate so that he can void
correctly, I will see how things go. I started him today on the saw
palmetto. You truly have to know about herbs and what their functions,
harms, counter acting, etc., are, if not, you can truly cause damage or
even death. This is why I have only mentioned that I have been giving
them the herbs & not told anyone to use or do what I am, also, it was a
long road, full of trial and error. Too much of this, not enough of that,
and so on and a LOT OF PRAYER!!!. Though it is the same method doctors
use when using a new drug (research, trial, error) if you don't have the
knowledge or are at least under supervised counsel, don't take the chance
with your little ones. They are small and delicate. And this is a long,
long road. And if you don 't have the time to dedicate and keep a CLOSE
eye on them, willing to adjust to their needs, example: if the mixture of
food is to thick, they won't eat it, too cold, not enough baby food, too
much taste from one of the herbs, I can go on. like I mentioned and I
will say it again, if you don't have a health practitioner, a vet, books,
supervision, counseling, etc. and a whole lot of faith, concerning herbs,
don't deal with them until you can get the afore mentioned help.
