In regard to the post yesterday about catnip and ferrets. I found out the
hard way that my little girl Loki (RB) loved catnip. I had a little
tupperware-type container of "Cosmic Catnip" and I had just come back in
from putting some on my porch for the neighborcats. I squated down to give
Loki a scritch and had foolishly not managed to put the lid back on the
container. She jumped up, hit it, and both she and I were suddenly covered
in catnip. Loki went wild, she rolled in it and dug at it, then she went
whizzing off around my apartment. Meanwhile I was left to clean up my mess.
for months that was the favorite spot on the carpet for Loki and the cat.

I also had a little catnip pillow that Loki was wild for. She would steal
it from the cat and try to hide it. The problem was that the little pillow
was attached to an elastic string that I would hold on to so I could get the
cat to chase the pillow. Loki would grab the pillow and run for the nearest
hidey-hole. Stash the pillow, only to have it zing back to me. Boy was she
confused.

I don't know, maybe Loki was just different. My little boy Fidget totally
ignores any catnip the cats may have left behind.

cheers
