Molly just got a new little sister today. After much sniffing and
roughhousing, they are both asleep curled up around each other. The new
one, whom we don't know what to name yet, is very inquisitive and interested
in people. However, she bites like a demon! The first time I picked her
up, she looked at me and at my hand and then bit really hard and WOULDN'T
LET GO. She did the same to my husband. We tried the linatone-hand
reinforcement thing, but she ignored the linatone and tried to nip the
un-linatoned part of our hands. So we handled her (gently of course) a
little to get her used to it, and she bit us unerringly again.. looking
really sweet and affectionate then WARGH! CHOMP!

The pet store we got her from, which is not quite as good as our regular pet
shop, said that she hadn't been handled much since they got her, and that
she was very friendly (which we can see) but that she is a nipper.

We have seven days to decide whether or not we want to keep her, or
bring her back in exchange for a less nippery ferret. Right now, we
spritz a little Bitter Apple into her mouth while scruffed when she
bites, but I'm rather afraid of her (I've always hated being bitten),
and am not sure if we can break her of the habit. Any suggestions?
(The scruffing/hissing/blowing into face didn't make her stop either).

Anna: "Eeeyow!"
Martin: "Not again."
Molly: <What IS this weird white fuzzball doing biting Mom and Dad??>
Nameless: <Fingers.. mmm... toes... mmmm...>
