Horror story

UK welfare/rescue caused an albino kit to suffer horribly with a badly
broken jaw, the kit was kept for several days without any treatment
whatsoever from a veterinary surgeon. He was horribly malnourished and
dehydrated so much so he could not stand, when the kit was taken from
this person it was pointed out to the collectors that she had been trying
to feed it with watered down food. Yet upon getting this poor kit away
from this person he was given liquidised wellbeloved ferret food slightly
warmed and he was taking it so fast that it was difficult to believe that
he previously would not eat.

The kit upon being removed from the previous owner was in the veterinary
surgery within 25 minutes and diagnosed with a broken jaw, this could not
be confirmed straight away due to the kits being so badly
malnourished/dehydrated.

He was instead placed in an incubator and fed on a special liquid diet
his weight gained at an alarming rate and within a week he was able to
have his broken jaw x-rayed to confirm his diagnosis.

It was a further few days before he could have surgery for the break that
went very well indeed, his broken jaw healed very well probably mainly
because he was a youngster. But as with most horror stories this one has
a beautiful ending because the kit eventually went to the best possible
home and is a very much loved member of the family.
