Hi all,
I don`t know if some of you remember me telling you about my new arrivals a
few weeks back? .... well we lost one of the new kids today :*o(

Bobby has been very poorly for about a week, terrible diarrhoea, vomiting
wouldn`t eat or drink. The first vet we saw, prescribed a medicine to try
and firm him up and an antibiotic. But he didn`t improve... in-fact he
worsened. I tried every type of concoction of food i could think of...
even ferretvite (i never had a kid turn their nose up at that.. no matter
how ill they were) but he just would`nt entertain it. I had to scruff him
and force feed him three times a day and syringe water into mouth. He`d
struggle and cry... it`s been torture the past few days :o( After i`d
finished feeding him, he`d stagger around and collapse into his litter
tray... where he laid limply, heaving for about 10 minutes... then he`d
crawl back to bed. I couldn`t bear it any longer... so we took him to a
different vet yesterday. She wanted to run some tests, so kept him in
overnight. She rang me earlier to say the blood tests were bad... they
showed he had advanced liver disease and it was probably kinder to let
him go.

Bobby was five years old and spent his whole life in a small hutch... i
sooo wanted him to have a better life.

Sandee could you please ask Katy and Emil, even though they`ve never met
Bobby... could they show him around and look after him.. he`s kinda shy...
Thanks.

Best wishes,
Jane, Harvey, Casper, Phoebe, Dylan, Annie, Clara, Dot, Tyler, Liv & Leah
