Scrap vinyl linoleum, the flexible stuff, works well as a cover for
the wire mesh shelves. Buy at Home Depot or somewhere and cut to size.

I used to sew an old towel, again cut to size, over the ramps with
some dental floss.

But I recently discovered I could cut the toes off old tube socks and
just slip them over the ramps and fasten with a safety pin.
