Well, I hope you all aren't getting tired of my Jamine reports -- it seems
like lately, its always something new. The red spot on her side faded away
again without any treatment. I'm still going to have the vet look at it
next week, as there is still a very small slight bump there.

The latest thing I've noticed is the presence of a sore in the back of the
roof of her mouth. It seems to be getting less red as time goes by, but is
still definitely there, sort of like a slight indentation in the roof of
her mouth. Initially it was pretty red, but now appears the same color as
the rest of her mouth. Much to the dismay of the rest of the gang, I've
been doing frequent mouth inspections for comparison and hers is the only
one like this -- is this a mouth ulcer, or related to stomach ulcers?? Any
other ideas on what it could be?

On a positive note, Jasmine has been attempting to eat hard food the past
coupld of days -- I found her chomping on a puppy biscuit under the dresser
yesterday (Myst stashes them there) and she ate a few pieces of the cats'
food yesterday and this a.m. -- not much, maybe a kibble or two, but its
definite progress. She still does a lot of head shaking when she picks up
pieces and dropping them before chewing, but there was definite crunching
going on, which she hasn't done in what seems like ages! Obviously
whatever is in her mouth is creating discomfort/pain with eating. I would
just like to know if the current treatment for ulcers/heliobactor is
helping or if we need to consider an alternative. Any ideas??

Thanks, Lucie
