The prednisolone you use is a weak concentration, so you have to use
more of it and buy more of it. Not so good for you or the ferret.

Consider getting a prescription from your vet for a stronger
concentration, such as 5 mg/ml, and filling it at a compounding
pharmacy.

I've been using this pharmacy for several years now for prednisolone,
diazoxide, and azathioprine (Imuran).

Their prices are great and everything is compounded freshly for your
prescription. When I get prednisolone from them, I actually get a
concentration of 10 mg/ml.
