I agree with a lot of Melissa's post.  Many people take on an exotic pet
(ferret, monkey, ocelot etc) without doing much research.  Of course, a lot
of people have children without giving it much thought.  People aren't the
brightest animal!!!  However, one thing I am not sure Melissa is correct
about.  Sometimes, people may think that if they put a price on a fuzzy
creature - the new "parents" won't just adopt on a whim.  That may be a
valid idea - but I have no idea how to really be sure the new person will
be loving.  When I really think about people - I don''t have to wonder why
I prefer animals!
