Michelle,
I have four stinkers and each has his or her own personality. My oldest
loves to cuddle and hug when I pick him up. The two middle-aged females
don't really like to be cuddled too much, although Frusen loves to clean
off my upper lip for me when I first pick her up. Zola likes to pretend
she's giving you kisses, and then when you're not paying attention, ZAP!,
she nails you and runs away- so I just watch her carefully when she kisses
anyone. D'arC (pron. Darcy) is a true snuggle bunny. She's one year old,
and I was given her this past summer by two young men who didn't want to
pay a $100 pet deposit to keep her. All of my guys live in a 6'X6' aviary
flight cage, with two levels, and a plastic sewage drainage pipe ($1.80 for
10 feet at Lowes) as a staircase. Inside the cage they have a box with
blankets and pillows to sleep in, a ferret tent with synthetic fleece
inside, and a sleeping bag- among other various toys. At night I let them
out to sleep with me and explore the bedroom. (The cage is in the bedroom)
D'arC gets into bed with me everytime and just licks my legs, arms and
face- up and down, up and down- until she falls asleep next to me. In the
middle of the night and in the morning I'm usually woken up as she wakes up
and decides to give me another bath! So I guess what I'm trying to say is
that while they might not jump onto the sofa and share an episode of
Seinfeld with you, they each have certain ways of saying Thanks for being
so good to me, Mom! Good luck discovering each of your five personalities,
as they each grow into them!

Gelert and LP (dogs), Harley (three-legged cat),
Mariah (normal cat), and Irkalla (Iguana)
P.S. to Lisa,
If your mother is allergic to your little guys, why not just add them to
your two? Trust me, four is not that much more work than 2, and you'll
enjoy the company!
