Hi all:

Hate to open this "can of worms" again, but I was wondering what we can
do to get PetCo to alter the diet they require employees to feed the
ferrets. I know we all disagree on the "best" diet for ferrets, but we
can all agree that fruits, vegetables and grains are not on the "good"
list. I am getting really frustrated going to PetCo for my dog's food
and always seeing ferrets with orange slices, lettuce, bananas, carrots
and cheerios. I ask the workers to remove these items as they are
unhealthy and potentially dangerous for obligate carnivores, but I am
told that PetCo corporation requires them to feed their animals this
"healthy, balanced diet". Is there a petition we can try again? It just
makes me sad to see it. I know the words may sound similar, but ferrets
and Parrots have very different nutritional needs. Pet stores should
know this...

Sorry for the brief rant.
