Hello Everyone,

Posting from a friend's email, don't seem to be spending much time at home
lately.

Well, I just cannot believe it. After tearing up all the carpet that was
wet and the pad, I was letting the subfloor dry before I put anything else
down. I went out partying on Friday night and didn't get home until around
2 a.m. only to find yet another lake in the living room. Seems that a
neighbor hood kid decided to spray his friend (who was mowing my yard) and
didn't understand what he was doing. Of course, Saturday I spent pulling
up all the stuff and trying to not wear myself out since I had a party to
go to that I had planned on for a month.

Thanks to all who sent me info on the Pergo flooring. After checking it
out on the web and talking to a very good flooring shop here in town, I
have decided against it. Just doesn't sound like it will hold up at all.

On the Pookie front. I have been worried about her for quite some time.
You see, my vet is very nice and all, but doesn't have any experience with
adrenal. We think Pooks may be adrenal. And I haven't been able to get a
recommendation for a ferret experienced vet from anyone here in Columbia,
that is until now. And to my surprise it was actually from my good wyfe,
who is mother to four cats and a dog.

She needed to get meds for her dog today as we were doing errands. So
while we waited on the pills, I asked the vet about ferts. They said they
do lots and lots of ferrets, even referrals from the school. Seems they
have even done some adrenal surgeries recently. And Dr. Greg actually
trained my Dr. Susan. They already had heard about me from her anyways, so
I am taking in Pookie on Friday afternoon for a consultation, and possibly
surgery. Please keep your fingers crossed for her, that it isn't as bad as
I feared. And how can anyone go wrong with a vet clinic named Noah's Ark.

Again thanks to all who care enough to take the time to help others out
with experience and recommendations. The ferrets are the most important
thing after all, aren't they?

hugs and dookers to all,
