Hello Fuzzy Friends,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on the history of ferrets
and hammocks? I do some volunteer education work with the public for the
local shelter and I've been asked a few times about why ferrets like to
sleep in hammocks. I have no idea why. I know that their instinct is to
burrow, but what about those hammies? This is the one question I'm at a
total loss as to how to answer. Any ideas? Or resources you could point
me to?

Thank you,
Crystal

Baby - What do you mean *why*? We don't need a reason...
Bilbo - She's never slept in a hammy before, has she? <surprised>
Frodo - Sssshhh! That's okay. We don't want her trying ours!
<scrambles into a fleece hammie>
