Hi all.. I hope the New Year is treating everyone well!

I don't get a chance to post much these days....between the shelter,
work, the kids, and teaching once a week.....we'll let's see, in my
spare time?????

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for the wonderful
cards we received over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The timing was so on cue, I really needed the pick me up. We are having
a banner 6 months for the influx of ferrets and we have had two come
in and die within 2 weeks of untreated ailments that went on too long
before they got to us. Two others are too old to go to new homes. One
that has come is deaf, another blind, and worst of all is the one that
was bitten my a black widow.....it's death was a horrible site that I
hope to forget someday (of course this ferret was the youngest, the
licker, the one who can't wait to see you everyday, and climbs right
up onto your shoulder to lick your ear.)

As if that were not enough, donations are nil; and of course, vet bills
are climbing, as always.

The days the cards started I had a regular crying jag and wondered what
the heck I am torturing myself for when I don't have to do this.....
yes, I know, I do.........

Your wonderful words of thanks and encouragement were truly a blessing.
So I wanted to say thank you.
 
I picked up two more ferrets right before Christmas and am picking up
another this weekend......wish me luck.
