After a series of long discussions with ferret folk, a new idea has emerged:
1. Ask Governor Engler to come to the hearing, and if the decision is
   wrong, grant a continuance of the stay of execution right then & there.

If you are in Atlanta, contact the CDC, first thing Tuesday am to aske
Dr Rupprecht to comment on:
A. Which Rabies variants have infected ferrets?
   Ans - raccoon & skunk (USA)
          fox (Europe)
B. Has there ever been a recorded instance of bat variant rabies infected
   ferret?
   Ans. No
C. Has any human ever died as a resulkt of a correctly diagnosed bat rabies
   variant infected ferret bite?
   Ans. NO
D. Has any Michigan ferret executed for a rabies test been found to be
   rabid?
   Ans. No
 
This pieces of information are public record & are available to you under
the Freedom of Information Act.  Ask for it & request it faxed to you & Gov.
Engler's office.
 
These are things we can do. If the decision is bad, we can lay the
groundwork now for the appeal.
