Hello Everyone,

Here's something a little different. I came home the other night from
work. When to what my husband calls the "Monkey Room". The room belongs
to my 4 fuzzies and any sick fuzzie from work. I walked in the room and
noticed 2 window screens in the floor. The window that I have been leaving
open had now become a pass time for my whippet fuzzy (Sqeeky Slim). She's
1 1/2 years old. The only one who climbs. Lately, she had been taking out
the water bottle out of the habittrail that belonged to the mice. The mice
were going to be food but, my fuzzies wanted away from them as much as the
mice wanted from them. But after the third bottle I had to purchase in a
couple of days. I decided to lube the bottle with half of jar of vasaline.
It worked. I could imagine she looked at her paws and said Huh, No Way.
She is a very prissy lady. Will not put her front paws in the litter
box :) They have to be on the ledge. Moving from there, she went over
and knocked down all the screen protected the window.

Once in their room I looked at the window, without counting who was in
the rice sandbox playing, I went to the window. Low and Behold. A hole.
Thinking about other posts. I knew this was my first ferret escape. Panic
about to set. I looked for a head count. Already knowing who it was. The
first fuzzy I see playing is my dear whippet (Squeeky Slim). I grabbed her
and hugged and kissed. And said a Big Thank You.

But, then it happened. Why was she still in the room and not outside? Was
I that lucky? I know if she got out, she could not get in without going up
the patio and passing the rottie and back down other stairs. Could she
have been letting me know she could have been gone, but decided she would
stay?

I don't know. I feel it was a warning. I think about others that have
gotten out from other post. As much as I read and the sadness I feel for
others, I couldn't imagine what it would have done to me. I have only
had her for 2 months and she has been a great asset to my family.

This is just something I wanted to share.
