OK, so I am 30-something, and so what if my birthday was this past
Monday--- I have to speak out and say---

What I really, REALLY want for my birthday is........

To actually meet Bob Church! OK, so I am not supposed to believe in the
Birthday Boodle anymore---my father says I should have outgrown my belief
in this myth 20+ years ago---BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit that I look forward to the FML, not only for the cheers and
encouragement everybody receives with their carpet sharks problems, but I
now realize that I scan the List everyday to see if Bob C. has decided to
post. My parents are both dying of cancer, and Bob's - shall we say -
impertinent; off-the-cuff; just genuinely funny remarks about people in
general, and his Mo'(Great Teeth)18,sometimes are just what I need to start
smiling, after a night of stress and sleeplessness, and realize that there
are still reasons to smile, such as my daughters and fuzzies, and that each
day can have rainbows....even though there might be thunderstorms that day,
as well.

The moral of this whole (unpardonably long) post? OK, so the Birthday
Boodle (THEY SAY) is a myth...and I will probably never get to meet BC
(tho I think he is real-not a myth; but say, what about about that 6-pack
sloshing inside?)---just, and this may sound a little corny, but here
goes---just try and find a rainbow out there everyday...it's there...some
days you just might have to look a little harder than other days!

Lastly, may I dare suggest---forget the flames! If you have to, make your
position known on the list, but don't reply to the individual if you are
going to be mean---everybody has a right to their own opinion...please
remember---some people don't have anywhere to go for their fuzzy concerns--
let them feel welcome here!
