Dear Alicia, to all my FML Friends,

Listen up, Alicia from Ferretwise is far from outspoken - she has been
the voice for the voiceless for many years, she knows and understands
the ferret, she has fought the fight for the ferret, she has tried to
educate the person who buys the ferret because it is cute, and discards
it when it grows up.

She has seen the effects of abuse, she has sat with the sick and held
the dying.

She has written an excellent article, and she is right, very dark
days are ahead for the ferret. The shelters are all in need of funds,
and the general population does not have the money to give. Ferrets
have become throw-a-way pets by a society that cares only for self
gratification. When you tire of it, throw it away and get something
else is the motto of far to many. This holds true for all pets, some
children and an occasional husband.

Well said, Alicia - outspoken - no - rather the voice of a prophet,
foretelling what is to come.
