Unfortunately, there are people who have had very bad experiences with a pet
store, breeders, or other things and their anger gets vented on the ferret
digest. I have made a point before of asking that we try and solve the
problem other than get mad about it. I do agree with the fact that we need
to bad together, but at the same time, finding out the problems other people
are having is a big help.

In reading this post, I was offended by the writer due to the fact that
every time I have written in with a concern for my ferrets, I have gotten
some of the best advice around. I have one ferret with non-regenerative
anemia and one who I adopted from an abusive pet store. Through the ferret
digest, there were people who helped me with lots of research on the anemia
and others who helped me to be able to adopt my abused ferret. Never have I
found a group of people who can be so concerned for an animal. Yes, there
are times when the bashing really needs to stop, but I think that attacking
people in this manner is incorrect also.

For those of you who are daily readers of the ferret digest, who have helped
others out, lend support and encouragement, I would like to say THANK YOU!!
For many of us, you have been a blessing. Please do not let one person's
post discourage you from trying to do what is right and keeping others aware
of problems you may be having. Through knowing the problems, maybe we can
solve some of them. Let's try to be polite and supportive of one another.
