First, before I forget.  To Donald and Eleanor Mead I would like to tell
you AND anyone else who has ever received a card from Sir Sirron, Hang
on to this friend.  You will never find a more compassionate, empathetic,
and truer friend than he.  He is ALWAYS there for me in times of
happiness and of utter sorrow.  He has been there for personal issues as
well.  I almost lost this guy, I thought due to a dumb misunderstanding,
but am glad to say, were okay now.  'Sir' is what this ferret mailing
list is really meant to be all about, friendship, commeraderie, being
there for each other, and information.  And let me tell you for those who
do not know, he has been a Godsend many times in giving me information on
a new to me topic.
 
Really, alll you ferret people(wait, let me get up on my soapbox here.)
I was not around at the beginning on this FML.  But I'm sure that it was
meant for fun, the making of ferret friends, and having someone, anytime
to help you deal with the loss of a precious fuzzy.  THIS IS indeed,
the FERRET mailing list.  FERRETS, cuddly, sweet, gentle, most precious
ferrets.  NOT the Bashing list, the flaming list or yelling at anybody
for asking stupid question.  There is so much anger in this world now,
Yes, defend your shelters(and THANK THE GOOD LORD for those who run them.
You ARE the Angel advocates for these poor babies) But please, can we
control our anger?  Can we get our point across in a nicer way?.  SO
many, TOO many people have had violence and anger destroy thier lives,
me included, but it just seems to me that we need to bring back the
gentleness of this mailing list.  If you are really angry, Scream,
stomp,get it realeased a little before you type.  Yes, some issues
deserve a hard drive approach, I wholeheartedly agree.  But as the old
saying goes, you can win more flies with honey?  Something like that.
Frankly, I'm tierd of the cussing and un necessary swearing that is heard
everyday by almost everyone.  F-in this, F-in that.  It's not necessary!
 
I quess I'm coming off as a Polianna, but after recently finding out that
the next physical problem that is going to be taken care of by surgery,
was a problem that my extremely violent father started and created by the
brut force of his violent foot, It just hurts so much to see so much
anger on the FML.
 
Please Y'all, let's calm down.  No more abusive fathers, NO MORE 9-11's,
somewhere this garbage has to be slowed down.  The anger that I see so
much of lately, maybe it's a sign of the times,but I have spent over 30
years trying to forget the anger I lived with.  I love my ferret friends
so much.  And I love this list , but the direction that it has been
taking lately is a direction I do not want to go again, ever.  If I were
to leave, I will keep in contact with my close fuzzy friends.  But I was
and still am a frightened kid, and frankly the anger here is starting to
scare me.
