I use vinegar a lot -- it gets rid of odors, and the vinegar smell goes away
quickly. It's not toxic to the ferrets. I've never had any problem with it
other than the fact that my ferts LIKE it!!!! So it doesn't work to keep
them away!

Cheryl -- the absolute weirdest place I've ever found the ferrets to use as
a litter box came to my attention FAR after the fact.....we had moved out of
our house, and were cleaning it up to sell. I'm only 5' tall, so I didn't
notice until I climbed up to clean the TOP OF THE REFRIGERATOR that they'd
evidently been chimney-climbing up the back and using the top as a
litterbox!!! Geez! I almost fell off the stepstool!
