Our newspaper in Tucson, The Daily Star, recently had a feature story
about the popularity of exotic pets. I must commend them; never once
were ferrets mentioned. The story was about turtles, chameleons, snakes,
etc. In the plant world anything that is not native is considered an
exotic. Think of all the weeds man has brought along with us, knowingly
or accidentally.
