Hi Joni--
it is simple -- you and your vet should be thinking adrenal disease.  If
your gal is left in this condition without surgical removal of the effected
adrenal gland then she will most probably develop aplastic anemia die -- I
would recommend you vet do a blood test to check the red count levels for if
she already has aplastic anemia she could hemorrage in surgery.  Soorry the
news isn't more upbeat-- but I figure the ferret parents want to know where
to look!
