I was 2 weeks behind my FML reading, but I took Joanne's $1.00 a month
challenge. I actually did $13.00 through paypal to cover the year so I
don't have to worry about forgetting. Why $13.00? I added the extra
$1.00 to cover SOS's paypal fees so that they didn't have to come out of
the donation. I hope that more people step up to the challenge. All you
have to do is give up a stop at the coffee shop once a month, or bring a
bag-lunch to work instead of running out for fast-food once a month, or
if you are a smoker, give up one cigarette a day all month and you have a
$3 - $4 donation a month! Ask your furkids to give up a $1.00 worth of
raisins a month. (Yeah, that'll go over well!) Even if you set aside
your pennies from your pocket change every day, it may add up to $1.00.
Go on...take the challenge.
