We have 4 ferrets, varying in temperment from friendly to nippy, and, all
nails can be clipped with a 1/2 capful of wheatgerm oil on the belly.  We
have found that while the ferret is enthusiastically licking away at the
wheatgerm they spread their feet out sideways, and, this makes it so easy
to clip their nails.
