Hi all,

Well I took Weeze to the vet about her rat-tail and enlarged vulva and
upon viewing diagnosed it as an adreanal problem needing surgery. He
said that he had performed the operation 3 times and two were successful
and one he was not absolultly certain which gland was screwed up so he
closed up. He told us there is another vet that is excellent at this
operation and does is very frequently and also charges $600 for the operation.
He said that due to his newness at the operation he would only charge $300
and if he could not make a positive ID of the bad gland and remove it he
would not risk the health of Weeze and only charge $150.
I think I'm going to at least go to the experience vet just for a second
opinion but can anyone advise me on what this vet said? Are these prices
common figures? Is this operation 'easy' enough to trust the less experienced
vet? Weezie is only two so we are going to get her healed.

Thank you for any advise at all.

Joe, Beth, Weezie, Sneezie, and Cody
