Hi all,
I am posting anonymously this time, even though I don't usually, but I
did not want to further embarrass or hurt my Vet in anyway.

I am a foster parent for one of our Shelters and I had one of my little
foster babies seizure yesterday right after taking his meds. Now this
was a "Screaming seizure" which I had never experienced before this.
I immediately called my Shelter owner and they said take him into the
vet as I had planned. Now he was a very sick little guy when he came
home, his blood sugar had been stabilized but had dropped to very serious
levels. I was told when I got him back that he may not make it, and I
excepted this as a foster parent. When taking him in I made a mistake
that I was unaware I was doing, I asked to stay with him "so that he
wouldn't be alone". The thought never crossed my mind how close our Vet
is to all these little babies and how loving she is to them. I hurt her
feelings unintentionally as she and a tech are with the babies at
all times during euthanasia. I just want to say I'm very sorry for
disregarding your feelings by stating he would be alone. I know better
than that, I had just gotten so close to him I didn't want to leave him,
but I also understand the agreement by the Vet with the Shelter on
Fostering.

My apologies doctor, next time I'll think before I speak.

Sincerely
[NW]
