Folks, this situation is one that is very near and dear to my heart and
I am elated that the ferrets are out of there and it doesn't matter to
me how Lori did it. The fact is that she accomplished this and now has
700 biting, pooping dookers on her hands. The highest our rescue ever
reached was 80 and I thought I was going to pull my hair out...can you
even begin to imagine having 700 ferrets biting you as you try to help
them and teach them that not all humans are bad? 14,000 nails to cut.
1400 ears to clean and based on what we currently use for @ 50 ferrets,
it could be approximately 420 pounds of food and 560 pounds of wood
pellets PER WEEK. It will take more than just a few donations and a
couple raffles to help these ferrets out. It could be months before
the ferrets can be distributed to shelters or homes that have room to
help out.

Sadly, the situation is not over yet. Several shelters are being sued
by these people which I find absolutely unthinkable. They need your
support too. Let's not forget how many hundreds of mink still remain on
the farm. They too are living beings that need help. They will be even
more difficult to get out of there and nearly impossible to place.

Please, even after the raffles are over and the initial smoke and buzz
has cleared, remember Lori and these ferrets. Continue to send whatever
support you can. If we all set aside a little each week, it can make a
difference. She is certainly going to need it and say a prayer every
night as she deals with one of the biggest ferret rescues ever to hit
the map. (that I know of anyway)This is the rescue of our lifetime and
it is all for those little fuzzys that we love so much. When you tuck
in your fuzzy in his nice warm sleepy sack tonight, give him a kiss
and know that he is loved and cared for, think of those that are so
desperately in need and please, send some help to the helpless.

God bless you Lori. A special seat next to St. Francis awaits you in
the next life.

Chessie: "Mom, they can have some of my binkys."

Mikao: " I really don't need my Bandit treats this week..I'm getting a
little too fluffy anyway."

Hannah: "You can give them my recipe for homemade ferretone!"

Dakota: "I think we're getting company!"
