Obviously this is a guess since I can't see the little guy. With
explanations of why I'm guessing what I am: A ferret with obviously darker
legs than body is called a point (or siamese). A ferret with a white head
and neck is a panda. But from your description this guys is a lot like some
of mine that are bad examples of show pandas but the cutest little ferrets.
I'm having to guess that what you are calling butterscotch is a mixture of
dark and light guard hairs and not actually a seperate color. I've only
ever seen two ferrets that were truly two different colors. White doesn't
count in this count of course. What I would probably call Hodgepodge is a
Sable Point Panda Mutt. This isn't exactly a show standard color and
pattern but my favorites are the mutts. In a ferret show Hodgepodge would
probably be classified simply as a Panda and not do to well in color/pattern
points. If indeed you have a 'particolor' ferret which means white and two
other colors Hodgepodge would be truly unique- as if all ferrets aren't
truly unique. I think he sounds adorable.

"What color is my ferret?" is the question I'm asked the most. Not easy
from text sometimes but its always interesting to see how people react when
I tell them.
