The only thing I can think of to add to your list, is under "get me to
the vet right now" - tooth grinding (typical of abdominal pain apparently).
 
Re your note to Geri: the similarity with viverridae (civets, mongeese,
genet, linsang, and quite a few more oddities) has struck me also.  Basically
the same characteristics and niches as mustelidae.  But they strike me as
more catlike.  A couple more animals to add to the mustelidae list:
sable (yes, the fur coat sable), zorilla (skunk colouration, but roughly
ferret shape and size - known sometimes as the striped polecat).  Grison
are used in central and south america for flushing out chinchillas, much
like ferrets are for rabbits.
