Wow, only $20? Thats a deal! My vet charges some $45 to do it. I
thought glucometers were not reliable? We ended up going out of state
for the surgery, it paid for itself in terms of medications and blood
draws in 2 months.

Sorry I cant be of better help, might be best to save up and go for the
surgery.
