I havent tried a Baby Gate but I did order a Weezl Watchr Ferret gate from
the advertisement in Ferrets Magazine. It Worked Great at first then I
brought home a new Ferret Mr. Galooch. Galooch is twice the size of my
other Ferrets. Not only Fatter but MUCH Taller! After about a week Mr.
Galooch was able to run and Jump and was able to grab the top of the gate
and pull himself over. (Weezl Watchr Gates are Plexi Glass.. Nothing to
hold on to and climb). My Solution.. I went to Home Depot and bought a
Piece of Plexi Glass that was taller than my Weezl Watchr gate (And $40.00
Cheaper!) Put some foam and tape over the top just like a Weezl Watchr
and wedged it into the doorway. There are no tools or clips or anything
required. Just bend and wedge it into the doorway! Works Great and Mr.
Galooch cant get over it anymore. All in all it cost me $70 for a Weezl
Watchr and it cost me $20 at home depot to make my own. Good Luck!
(FYI.. I dont mean to put down Weezl Watchr Gate company.. But if I
knew before hand what I knew now, I would have saved myself $70.00)
