Hi all making sure I have all bases covered, and that the Vet and I are not
missing anything we have overlooked.

Pauline woke up in the afternoon and was coming out of the bathroom and a
ferret went and nipped at her foot and Pauline startled and stepped down on
Bandit he as the alpha jumped up and scuttled away under the bed and stayed
there which isn't normal for Bandit. Anyway respiration was up and Bandit
was quite sedate from normal behavior. I rushed him off to the vet and
he was very placid for this ferret in staying in the crook of my arm as I
drove off to the vets office.

Accident occurred about 4:15 Thursday afternoon

The vet is not a specialist with tons of ferret experience but seems very
competent and handled a severe reaction to rabies vaccination 'by the
numbers' with adrenalin etc..

So the vet determined that that the rib area was most likely the area where
the pressure occurred (Its undetermined how much weight Pauline put on
Bandit cause Bandit definitely wasn't 'crushed'). The vet could hear some
noises in that area is why he determined that area.

Movement seems normal he has walked around some at the vets and waged his
tail.

A form of cortisone was injected sub-q to lessen bruising

Anyway Bandit is in an isolation cage with fleece sleep bag (which he went
in which is not normal for him.)

Bandit JUST peed (no blood) and pooped (3 hours 45 minutes after accident.)
WHEW!!!!

Now my to do list is see when he starts eating again and drinking before
tomorrow (friday) when the vet closes.

Bandit hasn't bitten from pain.

Are there any signs anyone knows of besides cough or something from
someones elses experience that I should be looking for???

Thanks for your time
Bruce
