Hooray!  Lily is 8 today!
 
Lily is the second ferret that took me on as a housemate many years ago.
Her health has not been great (she's blind and deaf now and was always
prone to illnesses, being the runt of her litter -- she's so teeny) and
we weren't sure she would make it to her last birthday.  But here we are,
one year older and still trotting through life. . .
