Any sudden change in your ferret should be reason for a visit to the vet.
Even if it's just for your own peace of mind, it's a small price to pay to
make sure everything is OK.  Sometimes ferrets can start biting suddenly
out of pain.
 
Also, if you start feeding him something new, do it gradually in small
amounts and this may help avoid the runny poops a bit.
