Doing anything next weekend? How about marking this on your calender...

Northwest Pet & Companion Fair 2003 at the Portland Expo Center.
Presented by Safeway Food & Drug. It's not just another dog and pony
show. This is one of the largest animal events in the Portland area. In
2000 over 80,000 people attended.

Everything you (or your pet) could possibly want. There will be agility
competitions, shows, vendors of all kinds. Last year some of the vendors
had some wonderful new products for sale and samples. Over 200
exhibitors with new products and services. For your entertainment there
will be a variety of animal and bird performances and a pet fashion show.

Other activites will include obedience training, Ttouch for you and your
pet and a selection of workshops, seminars, and guest speakers. Also a
petting zoo for the kids.

Various animal rescue groups will also be present. The PFSN and Oregon
Ferret Shelter will have booths set up with information and items for you
and your fuzz-butts.

I also have heard (through the grapvine) that there will be a bobcat and
a serval there as well as some adorable 'Norwegian Snow Kitties'. I know
I had fun cuddling them last year.

Show dates are Saturday April 12 from 9:30am to 6:00pm and Sunday
April 13 from 9:30am to 5:00pm. Admission charges are Adults $6.00,
Seniors/Students $4.00, Children 6yrs and younger are free. Well
behaved pets are allowed.

There is also a $2,00 discount if you show your Safeway Club Card

There is a parking fee of $6.00 per space. But, hey, as high as gas
prices are why not carpool?

Hope to see ya there ~!~!~!
