The thing to do when clipping toenails is keep some of that white powder
coagulant around that I can't remember the name of -- you can buy it in
pet supply shops. If you cut the quick by accident, you sprinkle this
stuff on there, plus sprinkle the ferret profusely with apologies and
kisses, and it stops the bleeding.
