When we had our first 4 ferts we also kept two litter boxes (one on
bottom and 3rd floor) Our Lupi loved to sleep in the 3rd floor box.
Everyone knew that, so they never used it as a litter box.  We replaced
the litter with a shirt or blanket (it constantly changes obviously) so
then it became a bed box.  Now that we have even more ferts (and hardly
any time in the cage) they have litter boxes at floor level and bed
boxes here and there.  I don't know why they do it, just a preference I
suppose.
