Sleepless In NJ,
I know EXACTLY what your talking about!  And Im also from NJ and one of my
noisest babies is named Bandit too!!  .....or maybe its just our Joisey
Fuzzies!  I have carpet down on my cage bottom too.  I am a bit luckier
though.  Bandit learned the carpet digging trick awhile back.  He only
does it if he knows we are around and wants to come out.  Its his way of
screaming......"HEY!  Over here!  Let me OUTTTTTTTT!!!" He knows it bothers
us so he does it.......and does it.......and does it.  We try to ignore
him the best we can when he starts this.  He usually gets the hint after
a minute or so and goes to lay down.
