1. Rubber if eaten, even in tiny amounts, can cause blockages that can
kill.
 
2.  There are periodic reports in multiple places of ferrets who have
gotten into the workings of washing machines while they were on and been
killed -- had necks broken, or in one case the ferret was partly beheaded.
 
Under or behind appliances of any type is BAD, BAD, BAD.  Fridges can be
like washers.  Stoves can gas a ferret or have holes into the wall, plus
insulation or burning hazards.  Ferrets have also died in washers, fridges,
driers, dish washers, etc.
 
A friend who is an operatic soprano and Oberlin voice teacher might be
able to visit the day of Warp's surgery.  If Warp is home (Should be.)
and Lorraine isn't resting her voice Warp will have some real singing and
that tends to make ferrets very, very happy, esp.  Warpie.
