Mojo (my intellectual ferret) and I were having a discussion today. He
pointed out that given the anti-ferret sentiment in parts of the US (and
beyond) ferrets (and their people) might fancy a rousing protest song now
and then.

So, to the tune of "Blowin' in the Wind"
FERRET LEGALIZATION ANTHEM
(copyright Lori Christian 1999, will probably let you use it
if you ask nicely ;-)

How many times must we counter the lies that the C.A. Gestapo has spread?
Does anyone out there un-der-stand what's going on in Giuliani's head?
It seems that some people won't be satisfied 'til every ferret is dead.

The problem is pre-ju-dice and ignorance.
Prejudice and willful ignorance.

It's not that good info is so hard to find. BIG hosts FML archives galore.
Modern Ferret publishes six times a year. Or check Ferret Central Dot Org.
There are scientific papers and vet'rinary books in case you are really
hardcore.

Just get the facts 'bout mustela furo
And pass them on to everyone you know!

Then make a donation to CFL or join Bob C's ferret geeks.
Write a letter to a politi-ci-an. Heck, why not write one every week?
California, New York City, and every FFZ - this battle is not for the meek!

But eventually we just may win
If we illegitimis non carborundum.

Yes eventually we just may win
If we illegitimis non carborundum.

(note: "Illegitimis non carborundum" is faux Latin. Means "Don't let the
illegitimis grind/wear you down". Substitute vulgar expression for
illegitimis and you've got it.)

Fight the good fight!
