Obscure/indirect ferret reference: Prospect of Death by Margaret Duffy,
Detective Inspector Carrick having just been beaten up and in a car wreck
contemplates to himeself that his rugby team "The Ferrets" will have to do
without him for awhile. Author lives in Scotland, setting in England. Vet
Question: The other day I took a bunch of info to the new ferret vet (I mean
new as in just taking over the ferret clientile and he knows very little)
and he asked me if I had ever seen any references to ferrets having
ringworm. I told him that recently there was some discussion and that if I
remembered right they could get it but it wasn't too common. Apparently one
of the other vets in the clinic had treated the ferret with antiobiotics
which it wasn't responding to. He looked at it and thought it was ringworm
but the vet who left didn't have anything in her notes on it. He said the
ferret was practically hairless with many large rings. He seemed receptive
to info so I'm going to do more downloading. Today I found and took in Dr.
Williams "Pathology of Ferrets" I found on the web since it lists LOTS of
good references. Any specific comments I can pass on about ringworm?

Sad stuff yesterday - hope your ferrets get better and the guy in FL fin ds
his and the lost ferret comes back.
