Hi,

Cokie just had her regular bloodwork done, and her values for kidney
function are a bit high, indicating some amount of kidney damage/failure.
She seems okay other than a slightly poor appetite for her regular kibble.
(Iam's kitten). Her weight is the same. I haven't even started to look
on the internet for information. I've got the pink book and the fox book.
Just checking to see if anyone here has any information or sources to
go to.

I was planning to try some of the Totally ferret for older ferrets (she's
six), to give her less protein, but when I checked, it only has 1% less
protein than her kitten food. I think I'll try the Iam's cat food. (I'll
probably be trying alot of other foods to see what she'll eat!)

We're planning on rechecking her in January. I haven't yet talked to Dr.
Hudson about it. Planning to tomorrow. I've mailed him her bloodwork
results, just today. I'm not horribly worked up over this, because the
values weren't sky high, just elevated a little. And I don't know what to
expect...I guess I'll know more when she is retested--if they are even
higher, it will be bad.

Just wondering if you guys have any clues?

Thanks

Celia C.
