At the risk of perpetuating a rumor (not my intention!), has anyone heard
about a recent incident in New York City where someone allegedly released a
number of ferrets in a govenment office, supposedly to make a point of some
sort about ferret regulations in NYC?  A friend mentioned to me that he'd
read this in one of the New York papers, but I couldn't find any info on it.
 
I've only been scanning the fml lately, due to a very busy schedule, so
please accept my apologies if this has already been discussed here.  If
not, do any of you New Yorkers have any info?  Or was my friend dreaming?
