A quick note from Washington state.

Last month, there was a posting from Princeton, NJ from someone who had two
ferrets that they had to get rid of (the dorm did not permit pets.) My
girlfriend had recently lost two of her three ferrets to cancer, and was
looking for two more. I Emailed a reply, and was pleasantly surprised to
discover that mine was the only reply they had received from a person who
actually owned ferrets. After a lot of email and phone calls, last Saturday
night at 8:30 PM, despite raging snow storms on the east coast, the two
ferrets arrived at SeaTac airport. Isis and Osiris are now happily residing
in Port Townsend, Wa, with Feckless.
