IT'S A BOY!!!!

I did it again!!! My son & I drove up to That Fish Place/That Pet Place in
Lancaster, PA. (We are about 1 1/2 hrs away, in MD) Anyway, we went to
pick up a few things. That Pet Place is a great pet store! Huge pet
warehouse with tons of products at reduced prices. I will print the URL at
the end of this letter. I have nothing but praise for this place. Upon
entering the Reptile/Small Mammal room, I first noticed how clean it looked
and smelled. All animals are very well taken care of. All cages large
enough for them and very clean. The staff was very friendly and willing to
give any advice they could. Anyway, they had a 3 layer cage with about 6
tiny kits in it. All very beautiful. They had the most beautiful albino,
silver mitts, blaze and some very, very dark kits. (Anyone know what they
were? They all had dark paws, masks and the rest was very dark, close to
black. Very little white on them. They make you wash with an antiseptic
cleaner before handling them because they don't want you to pass any germs
to THEM. I thought that was great! They have notes on the cages saying the
ages and that it is normal for them to be nippy as kits and that they may
need training for it. The cages are kept locked so that just anyone can't
reach in to grab them. Well, I was able to pass the kits up, which was one
of the toughest things I ever had to do. :( Then I rounded the corner and
found this huge, 8 mos. old beautiful male in a large cage by himself.
They said they had him from a kit. I guess since he was so big that when
the new babies came in, no one wanted such a big guy. He looked and smelled
wonderful! He was still a tiny bit nippy, but only in play. He is so
playful! When I brought him home, he instantly went spazzy and started to
check the place out. He is a huge ball of energy! He is about 4 1/2 lbs.

(Q): Is is done growing? I don't remember the age when they have reached
peak growth. Anyway, he is very happy to be out of a cage and playing.
My other 4 are like.....MA! Why such a youngun? He's driving us nuts!
LOL.......Well, this letter is getting too long and I could talk forever
about my new babe and my not so new babes. I love them soooooo much!

Here is some info on the store:

I highly recommended this place. I have always had great service and the
place always seems very tidy! I live near Annapolis MD and it takes me only
about 1 1/2 hrs to get there. If you need lots of animal supplies, it is
worth the drive. Also, any fish fanatics? Unbelievable prices on ALL fish
supplies, expecially tanks and setups!
