After a pretty good Monday following his stroke on Sunday, today was really
bad. He would not eat and could not poop. He was just a limp rag in my
arms most of the day. I wish I had put him to sleep yesterday, but I had
hoped that he might come more out of the stroke.

Tonight at 5:30 pm I made the decision to have him put to sleep so he would
no longer suffer. He was the second ferret I ever purchased, the first and
only kit I have ever had. He was always my Baby One, no matter how old he
got. He was six years old. I will miss his beauty; he was a very light
silver mitt, and I have never seen one like him anywhere. He was my
personal poster child. When in Eugene, if I had a news interview, I always
had BooBoo in my hands. If I had an event to attend, I always took BooBoo
because he was so beautiful. He loved raisins and red licorice as treats,
but not much else. He loved to play and dook, but when I wanted to pick
him up, he was ready for that too.

I will miss him more than any other ferret I have ever owned. To me, he
was the best ferret in the world.

I love you BooBoo. I'll see you at the Bridge when I get there.
