Sandee, I probably owe you an apology right about now. No doubt some
strange things have been happening over the last couple weeks. Doors
opened that you could have sworn were locked shut, paperwork you spent
hours on found in tatters, baby food covered footprints on the windows and
I would not be surprised if you found the mouse to your computer being hung
from a tree in the middle of the ferretone flood. On May 13th, I said
goodbye to my girl Thunder as she left me to join her sister Lightning at
the Rainbow Bridge. Now that the Storm Sisters are back together there
will probably be no end to the chaos they can cause. I m sorry for not
warning you when Thunder first showed up at your doors, but part of me was
in too much shock to let anyone know and the other part of me wanted to
give the two girls a bit of a head start before you catch onto their game.

Now that I have given you a warning (believe me you will need it), I want
to share with you a couple highlights of Thunder s life so you will have
some insight to the mind of your latest trouble maker.

Her favourite game (one shared with her sister) was stealing socks.
However they would never steal a pair of socks, instead she would only
steal one sock of each colour! To this day I always wear 2 different
coloured socks wherever I go

Late one night on a walk by Lake Ontario, Thunder started digging her way
to China on the beach. Not one wave but two decided to upset her plans and
get her feet wet in the process. The next thing I knew she was positioned
on a rock barking at the waves, as if she had the power to make the water
stay away from her playground.

Nary a TV remote would be found if Thunder was awake and on the prowl,
sometimes they disappeared when I could have sworn she was sound asleep.
It once took me over a week to relocate the missing remote . It was
finally found in the only ferret proof drawer in my house (at least I
thought it was safe), just like her to be smarter then me then rub it in
my face :0)

Sandee, please tell Thunder, I will miss our walks most of all. Late at
night when sleep does not come, she was always there ready and waiting to
go for a walk, when Thunder eventually got tired she would perch on my
shoulder listening to my woos, all the while contemplating the next scheme
of chaos that will make me appreciate her conniving ways while laughing the
time away.

Thank you for all the happy times we had together. Farewell dear Thunder,
I will remember you forever.

Ps. Thunder and Lightning, try not to give Sandee too hard a time :-)
